This Privacy Policy explains how Voxian ("we", "us") handles information when you use our reading application and website (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, display name, and authentication identifiers (including via Google sign-in if you choose it).
• Documents you upload: the PDF files you add, generated narration audio, cover thumbnails, and study material (quizzes and flashcards) created from them.
• Usage data: listening activity and feature usage we record to provide progress tracking, stats, and to enforce plan limits.
• Technical data: standard log and device information needed to operate and secure the Service.

How we use information

• To provide the reading, narration, chat, quiz, and flashcard features.
• To save your listening progress and sync it across your devices.
• To enforce usage limits and protect against abuse.
• To communicate with you about your account and the Service.

AI processing

To generate narration we send document text to our text-to-speech provider, and to power chat, quizzes, and flashcards we send the relevant document excerpts to our AI provider. We do not use your documents to train AI models. Providers process this data on our behalf to return results to you, and integrations that offer model-improvement data controls are enabled only after those controls are set to opt out.

Storage and security

Your documents and generated files are stored privately and are accessible only to your account through authenticated, time-limited links. We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete any document at any time, which removes its stored files. You can also permanently delete your account from Profile in the Voxian app. Account deletion removes your uploaded files, generated study material, usage records, account profile, and Voxian authentication record, subject only to information we are legally required to retain. If you cannot access the app, use our account deletion pageto submit a request.

Deleting a Voxian account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription; those subscriptions must be managed in the applicable store. Where you used Stripe billing, deleting the associated Stripe customer cancels its active subscriptions. App stores and payment processors may retain transaction records under their own legal and compliance obligations.

Third-party services

We rely on service providers for hosting, authentication, database and storage, text-to-speech, AI processing, and payments. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their functions.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time and will revise the "last updated" date above.
